The perils of fast food
Fast food – Either you like it, or you don’t. But let’s just say more people like fast food as opposed to hating it. Something like a 70:30 ratio in favor of fast food?
Oops, before you put that fried chicken or burger into your mouth, ask yourself, what exactly are you putting into your body? You get a whole dose of protein, oil, fat/grease, sugar, salt, trans fat, and calories. Most of the time. But it’s improving, it really is. I mean the situation as a whole.
I am a fast food lover, and I guess I always will be. But, I don’t want to pile on the pounds, or suffer from a stroke further down the road, just because I’m a fast food lover! I want to have my burger and eat it too…….
So what’s there to do for a guy like me? Previously, I didn’t know much about fast food calorie content, and it’s shocking to read that a single burger can supply half of the recommended calorie intake for my day! I guess I need to reduce my fast food intake if I wanna get in better shape for my convocation. There is no other way, but it’s heartening to see all these fast food outlets now becoming more health conscious. Learning about the calorie content of foods is quite enlightening, at least for me personally. But one thing that won’t change for me is eating good tasting food. I’m a “live-to-eat person,” and it won’t change.
If only they can create healthy food that is also delicious at the same time, that would be great. Why can’t we have good food and good nutrition together?
